Napoleon Hill and Profiting by Failure

"Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do." Napoleon Hill

"Profiting by failure" may seem like an oxymoron, but it’s a actually a true statement. The only true failure there is when you think about it, is quitting. Failure is actually the equivalent of taking a step up the ladder on your way to success. If you stumble, you can either choose to let go and fall back to the ground or hold on tight and continue to climb. If you choose to climb, you will not make the same mistakes again.

Profiting by failure is outlined in The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill. Napoleon Hill was a philosopher and one of the founders of the modern self improvement movement. In The Law of Success you learn that if we want to increase our chances of success, we must first double our chances of failure. We must accept the fact that we make mistakes, and we must learn from them.

Success is a Journey. Along the way, you may fail from time to time. You may come across roadblocks and stumble. However, instead of believing that your failures are permanent, you need to realize that they’re only temporary. Your failures will only become permanent if you choose to quit.

Each time you fail you are actually getting closer to your goals. Failing will make you stronger, wiser, and more determined. You will literally profit from failure, its all just a matter of perspective.

Making mistakes is part of the learning journey. The mistakes are little lessons teaching us what to do, and what not to do. They lead to experience. With experience, we will grow with knowledge, which point us closer to our goal.

Nice post here.
