Getting Started Today!

"The average person puts only 25 percent of his energy and ability into his work. The world takes off its hat to those who put in more than 50 percent of their capacity and stands on its head for those few and far between souls who devote 100 percent."
Andrew Carnegie

Why does the average person wait to get started? The truth is the time will never be more perfect than it is now. The longer people wait, the farther and more entangled they become in the affairs that bring them spiraling down. Are you currently at where you want to be in life? Are you achieving all your dreams and desires? If not this article is for you, and for all of us. The successful stay successful because they are continuously taking actions and then reevaluating the outcomes. Use this article as your stepping stone into the bright future that is ahead of you. Everyone has the right to achieve their dreams in life, the only thing that limits you is yourself.

The first process in getting started today is to figure out your goals and dreams. You want to build your foundation to your success strong, and the first step to do that is by making strong goals.

Strong Goals are at the core of a successful life.

1st. Write down five short term goals that are achievable within this next year.
2nd. Write down five long term goals that are achievable within the next 5-10 years.
3rd. Write down your main purpose, or ultimate goal. This goal should be a combination of the previous goals written as if you have accomplished them all.

Make all your goals precise, they should include exact dates and time frames in which you will accomplish them. Also make them challenging, but not unattainable. Make sure your short term goals are realistic, and don't be afraid to shoot for the stairs with some of your long term goals.

Now that you have created your goals, the next crucial part in making those goals attainable is through affirmations. Affirmations are important because they help program your brain into believing that these goals are achievable. You can create goals and dreams but if you yourself don't believe that they are possible, you will never achieve them. You have to recondition your brain. This is a process called neural reconditioning. Every one of us has a RAS(Reticular activating system) Which is a scientific term for a network of nerve pathways at the base of our brains that connects with the spinal cord, cerebellum, and cerebrum, and it acts as a filter for all the sensory input your brain draws from the external world.

We do not see with our eyes, our eyes just gather sensory information. Our brains take in this information, and actually creates the senses. This is true with all of our senses. The reason why affirmations are so important is because the RAS is basically a huge pool of information, we only take from this pool of information what our brain deems necessary in the current time. If you are always expecting failure, your brain will always be pulling information from the RAS that backs that belief of failure. But if you abolish these pathways, and create an attitude of success, you will create new pathways in which to gain information that backs your success.

Affirmations
Write down all your goals as if you have just achieve them. Write down how it would feel in as many details as you could for each goal. Fill your affirmations with passion and belief. Write down why you deserved to achieve these goals, and what your going to do next with them. Make you affirmations present tense.

After writing all your goals and affirmations read them everyday out loud when you wake up and before you go to bed. This is the most important step. Watch your life change before your eyes as you go through each day with a sense of purpose and a positive mental attitude. Success at this point simply becomes just a matter of time.
