The use of gratitude is a powerful process in which you shift your energy from focusing on the negative to the positive. When you are in a state of gratitude you are in a state of abundance, and when you are in a state of abundance you are bringing more of what you want into your life.
So many people in our current society here in the United States take so many things for granted. The general American can go into a fast food store and get upset and complain about the lack of mustard on their sandwich. They will spend so much time getting upset over something so small, when there are so many other things going on the world that's worth the energy to get upset about. Be grateful for the things you already have and you will attract more things to be grateful for.
Each and everyday I wake up is a day to be grateful for, it's a day you should be grateful for as well. Even with all the bad that might be going on in your life, if you are alive, and wake up with a breath every morning, you have the opportunity to make good in your world, and the worlds of others. Being alive is the number one reason every individual should be grateful. Yet so many people take their lives for granted. Your life is special and every single one of us, has the ability to effect another, or leave this world a better place, that's a blessing in itself.
Action Steps
Step One:
If you want to make change in your life today, at this very second, the easiest thing you can do right here, right now, is be grateful. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for, no matter who you are, or what your circumstances, you can be grateful, and to be grateful is to be happy.
Step Two:
Use the tools that are at your disposal. Sometimes it can be hard for a negative person to change their outlook on life with one moment of gratefulness. Create something you can carry with you always in your pocket. A lot of people use something called a gratitude rock. Which is a simple rock that you carry with you. Each time you touch your gratitude rock think of something you are happy about or thankful for. At first it may seem like a burden, but not after long, you will see your mindset change, and you wont even need this tool anymore.
