Five Steps For Getting What You Want!

We all have the ability to achieve what we want out of life, but most people sadly just don't know how. The only way you can get what you want is by taking action! Follow these next five steps and watch the world of your dreams unfold for you!

Five Ways To Get What You Want!

1. Write Down Your Goals: Writing down your goals and reviewing them every day is the first step of getting what you want. When writing your goals be specific, make sure to include: dates, times, and locations. Write your goals as if you have already achieved them and read them out loud once a day.

2. Be Grateful: Find something to be grateful for! All around you there are things to be grateful for, just the fact that you are breathing right now is something to be grateful for. During hard times sometimes it is tough for us to think positive. But we have to remember things could always be worse. Be thankful for what you do have, and stop focusing on the bad. When in a state of gratitude, you attitude changes. You'll be surprised on how many things you can find to be grateful for, even in the hardest of times.

3. Be Determined: You will get what you want, so do not worry about how or when, just worry about what you need to do each and every day to accomplish what it is you desire. Use the resources available to you like this blog to help you stay motivated. Our Self Improvement Quotes are a good thing to review when you are in need of a pick me up!

4. Become a Student of Self Improvement: Each and every day at least read a half hour or so of a good book! The average CEO in America reads four books a month. The average American out of free will read one book a year. Sixty percent of those Americans do not get past the first chapter! There is something to be said about reading and the yearning for knowledge. Check out our Self Improvement Books section for a book to consider.

5. Become a Person of Action: Ask yourself each morning when you get up what actions you can take today. Always look to take actions that are in line with your goals. I suggest writing down a daily checklist sheet before you go to bed for the next day. During the next day follow the checklist and accomplish as many things as you can. Rinse and Repeat.

Hey Allen,

Nice outline for achieving success. The thing is...

...becoming a person of action can be so damn hard at times! Heck, I've struggled with it for years and even now I'm not perfect. But hey, who is?

Anyway, just wanted to say that I enjoyed your article. And hey, you've written "Find something to be grateful for!" so I thought I share my appreciation here. ;-)

Keep up the good work!

Sven
