When you feel down and out, just do work!

When you are feeling defeated or unmotivated the most important thing there is to do is keep moving forward. Often right around the corner of defeat is success, its up to you to decide if you can make it there.

"Before success comes in any man's life, he's sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That's exactly what the majority of men do."
Napoleon Hill

We all have set backs at one point or another, but set backs are not failures but they have the capacity to create failures. In the world of blogging I have learned that the the most important trait of a successful blogger is consistency. At first things start off slow, you don't have a huge following, and you are receiving very little if any visitors daily. But in my experience if you keep pushing forward, day by day, doing what it takes, and never giving in too the temptation of quitting. You will eventually get there and when you do it seems as if it happened so quickly you didn't even notice.

Thats the way all success works! It's all about consistency. You have to keep moving forward no matter what the circumstances. Never let tough times or hard situations defeat you. I have developed a 5 step task for handling discouragement and anxiety when it comes to facing hard times and bad situations.
  1. Stop
  2. Reevaluate
  3. Redefine your goals
  4. Block out the negativity
  5. Go to work
Work was a safe haven when it came to facing lack of motivation for me. I didn't give myself a second to talk myself out of what needed to be done. I just knew it needed to be done, and I was clear on what I wanted, and I went to work. Don't let yourself slack, and put all of yourself into what you do.

Here is a favorite video of mine of Anthony Robbins on the Today Show. If you are in a slump during these hard economic times, this might just be the pick you up you need!

"Necessity is going to make it happen"
Anthony Robbins
