Give Up Your Excuses

I grew up not having much, at least that's what I thought when I was young. As I have grown older I have come to the understanding that, I really had everything I needed. I had a loving mother and father, both who made mistakes, due to their age. They were both very young when they had me. Although they made mistakes, I can honestly say I forgive them. I thought at one point I could never forgive them. It's taken me many years to actually say that, and mean it when I say it now. You must change your view of a negative past, in order to prepare for a successful future.

One of the first steps to undertake in the arena of self improvement is to first forgive all your past pains and experiences. You must confront your past and take full responsibility for yourself and your future. Life is too short. So give up all your past regrets and start living for today, you have to stop dwelling on the past. Each and every painful experience or regret in your past, has something to offer you. It's just a matter of changing your view point. If you dig deep enough you can find something positive out of every single circumstance.

The key is to forgive the past, focus on what you learned, and simply move on. When you look at what pains you in your past think about what you learned from that experience. Did it change your way of thinking? Dig deeper! Did it help make you happier in some way or another? Our past experiences make us who we are. Are you happy with the person you are today? Your past experiences helped make that person. You could have suffered the worst catastrophic event possible, but as long in one way or another you learned or grew because of that event, you became a better person, which in retrospect is a positive result.

If you look at each and every past experience in a positive light you will lead a happy and successful life. You will constantly see everything that happens to you as a chance to learn and grow. Your past creates you and is now allowing you to create your future. Embrace the past, and embrace each experience. You only have room to grow.

You are what you believe you are. If you look at your past with regrets and unhappy feelings you will lead a regretful and unhappy life. Forgive the past, and change your angle of view. When you do this each and every day, you will find that every situation in your life taught you something. Your subconscious remembers everything. All that matters is whether or not you decide to view your past as positive or negative. Be happy, because without the past there would be no future.
