But in the grand scheme of things this book has revolutionized the self improvement and new thought fields. The movie and books is similar in style to What the Bleep Do We Know!?
The Secret teaches people how to implement the law of attraction in their lives to manifest what they want. The Secret points out how most people either spend their time thinking about what they don't want or reinforcing what they are already getting. Which means they are creating what they are getting by using the law of attraction against themselves.
"Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind's eye, and you will be drawn toward it."
Napoleon Hill
The law of attraction is nothing new, it has been around for quite some time now. The first self improvement book I read was Think and Grow Rich
I love what The Secret has done for the industry. The law of attraction has been brought out into the open through The Secret. It also brings together some of the industries best teachers such as Jack Canfield, Joe Vitale, and John Assaraf. Jack Canfields stories were my favorite. To me his stories seem the most astounding and genuine. Jack Canfields first job was with W. Clement Stone who was a partner and self improvement teacher with Napoleon Hill. They even co authored together Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude
"I'm a big believer in growth. Life is not about achievement, it's about learning and growth, and developing qualities like compassion, patience, perseverance, love, and joy, and so forth. And so if that is the case, then I think our goals should include something which stretches us."
Jack Canfield
The most important part of The Secret
If you haven't, I recommended watching The Secret
