"You might well remember that nothing can bring you success but yourself."
Napoleon Hill
Your motivation is what pushes you to succeed. The strength of your resolve generally determines whether you will fail or not. Even the most motivated person needs help from time to time.
I use these 5 steps personally, and I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a pick me up from time to time. It is my belief that a key component for success is continuous motivation.
It has been a ritual of mine to perform these steps every Monday to help stay motivated and focused for the week or whenever I am feeling fatigued. If you like the process, I hope you pick it up and give it a try!
When things get tough, these 5 steps will help to get you moving, stronger and faster than ever before.
1. Focus On Your Goals
The source of your motivation comes from the goals you are seeking to accomplish. Spend time focusing on your goals by making sure they are written down. If you have well defined written goals recite them out loud and then spend time visualizing them accomplished.
2. Read From A Self Improvement Book
If there has been one thing that has effected my success more than any other, its this step right here. Reading from a good self improvement book is rejuvenating. The positive thoughts and improvement tools being taught have the power to change your life. If you have never read a self improvement book please feel free to check out my Recommendations. Speaking from personal experience it is my opinion that this step is vital to success. It doesn't necessarily have to be reading a book, but you must focus on your own self development.
3. Take A Short Walk
After visualizing your goals and reading from a self improvement book, take a nice short walk around your neighborhood or someplace that relaxes you. As you are walking continue to think about your goals and what you learned from the book. Think about what you can do in the present to further your ambitions.
4. Reward Yourself
Think of things you wish you could have or do. Write them all down, and include how accomplishing your goals will help you achieve them. Be specific and fill your words with passion and desire.
5. Write In A Journal
After accomplishing the previous steps write in a journal about everything you had just done. Write about what you thought of, the things you plan on doing, and how you plan on doing them. This is a great tool to help hold yourself accountable and track your progress.
"Everything that exists is in a manner the seed of that which will be."
Marcus Aurelius
